THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION — PLEASE ATTEND THE NEXT MEETING — January 16, 2023 —
Santa Barbara Teachers Association (SBTA) members, California Schools Education Association (CSEA) members, and public supporters participated in a SBTA rally on August 22. They also filled the Board Room on October 10, November 14, and December 13. These events were planned to bring public awareness to the SBUSD crisis—the high number of resignations due to low educator wages in the district—and to demand action from the School Board to increase salaries for the 2023-2024 school year. Educators are concerned that their students will suffer if this exodus continues.
